This Stampin’Up! Serene Scenery Umbrella Weather Framelit card is also quick & easy! Using another scene from this wonderful paper stack the entire beach feel of the card is set. All it needed was an umbrella from the Umbrella Weather Framelit die set, and voila! Card done!
First, I started with a standard card base in Crumb Cake cardstock. The DSP layer is cut at 5.25″ x 4″. Next stamp the umbrella onto Soft Sky cardstock using Island Indigo ink. Stamp the umbrella handle in Early Espresso ink. Then use the dies to cut out the umbrella top and the handle.
Finally, stamp the sentiment onto Soft Sky cardstock and layer onto a coordinating piece of DSP from the paper stack. Flag the ends and attach pearls for some fun! Remember to make your envelope pretty!
Stampin’Up! Serene Scenery Wishing You Brighter Days card
Stampin’Up! Serene Scenery Wishing You Brighter Days card Is beyond quick and easy! This paper stack has many choices that make beautiful stand alone art for card fronts. Also, the coordinating patterns on the reverse sides are beautiful!!
As I put this series of cards together I was so excited to see all the choices I had, I think the catalog does not do this paper stack justice at all! There are a wide variety of scenes and color choices!
This is probably one of the most simple cards have assembled. I started with a basic A2 card size for the white base, the green layer was cut at 5.25″ x 4″, and the DSP is cut at 5″ x 3.75″. I stamped the sentiment on a 1/2″ strip of white cardstock, and layered the strips, attaching them with a handheld stapler.

Despite the layered looks of this card it is actually quick and easy to put together. The Fox Builder punch is so versatile! You can create so many different kinds of animals with it! I like to pop up the tail and the head with dimensionals to add some depth, too.
Start with a Thick White Cardstock base. Cut the Crumb Cake layer at 5.25″ x 4″, next use the cloud diecuts that are part of the Umbrella Weather Framelits. Center the Crumb Cake layer onto the white and stamp your clouds in Pool Party ink using the die cut outs as your guide! Use the Whisper White Craft ink to stamp raindrops.
Then attach your paper strips along the left border of the card. My DSP was 1″, the Island Indigo is 1/4″, and the Dazzling Diamond strip is 3/8″. Just play and see what you like! Finally, assemble the kitty and the popped up umbrella and place on the card. I used a thin piece of the Dazzling Diamond paper to make my own handle.
This Stampin’Up! Weather Together with Love card is super easy to make. I love the Serene Scenery paper stack and will be doing a mini series with it using the Umbrella Weather Together Bundle.
I started with an 8.5″ x 11″ piece of Melon Mambo cardstock and cut it in half at 5.5″. Score in half at 4.25″ and fold to create the card base. The white embossed layer is cut at 5.25″ x 4″ and embossed with the Falling Petals textured impressions folder.
I used the umbrella framelit and cut a melon mambo and serene scenery umbrella. If you cut the DSP umbrella near the edge you can use the small piece of scallop DSP left as an accent near the sentiment strips. The silver glitter paper adds the perfect amount of sparkle!
Stampin’Up! Honeycomb Happiness Stamp set is one of the cards I did for our demonstrator swap! We usually pick one stamp set from each new catalog, so for this round I picked one stamp set from the occasions mini catalog and one stamp set from the sale a bration catalog. The stamp set that I chose from the sale a bration catalog is called honeycomb happiness, it’s super cute and it coordinates with the honeycomb embellishments in the occasions catalog… Awesome!
Creative Cat tip: I love the honeycomb embellishments, but obviously mailing would be an issue. So as a solution I left the honeycomb folded flat, putting adhesive on only one side. I added a sticky not to pop open the honeycomb once received and adhere it down!
Here’s the last two cards for the pet series…Stampin’Up! Pets on parade #3…
And in blue…
I am fortunate to be able to sell my cards in my local hair salon. Through that I was recently asked to do a group of pet sympathy cards for a wonderful lady who is a pet sitter. She needed them for the rare occasion when one of her friends suffered a loss. It made me think of how much I love our own pets. And also how many people we know who also have furry family members!
This was a heartfelt need for a set of handmade cards, but I also realized how these same cards can be used for happy times as well!! In that spirit I wanted to share my creations with you all. There are also so many different kinds of pet stamps available through Stampin’Up! So I was thinking horses, rabbits, turtles, and many more!
These cards could actually be used in many different ways. That made me happy, and inspired me to create more in the future!
It also inspired me to create an entire category dedicated to pet themed cards, can’t wait to share!
