Can you believe it’s September already? This summer has gone by way to quickly! While I am away for vacation and the store is closed, I want to share a few things with you, especially for all my new subscribers.

Hi, I’m Shannon, wife, mom, cat lover, and CEO of Stamping Cat Studio! Creating artisnal jewelry has been more than a business for me; it’s my passion.
|
Ever since I was young I have always enjoyed creating with my hands. For many years my main focus was paper crafting: creating greeting cards and scrapbooking. While paper crafting was a fun business, my personal hobby was “collecting” jewelry-making supplies and making gifts for family and friends.
|
When covid happened and we had to quarantine, I couldn’t have paper crafting classes in my house any more so it was an easy transition to start creating jewelry from home. Soon people saw the artistic and sentimental value in my creations and wanted to purchase them. And wow, my jewelry business kicked off!
|
Today, I believe in creating more than just jewelry. I hand-make meaningful, wearable art that tells a story, captures a memory and celebrates a special moment. When I look back it is hard to believe how far we have come in growing our business, and I have my family and team to thank.

Now, please meet Teddy. She is an 11 year old Persian With Personality! When I am in the studio Teddy will often put on one of her many hats of office: Quality Control Manager, Chair Warmer, Chief Snuggler, or Fur Ball Deliverer. I never know which hat she will wear, but she brings me joy to have her as my fur-baby.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
HAND-STAMPING
AND ENGRAVING

Hand-stamped metal is created by hand-hammering individual die stamps into the surface of the metal, one design or letter at a time. This is a time-consuming process but produces an organic, artisanal look with slight variations in depth and alignment.

Laser engraving is a quick process, and uses a focused light beam to burn precise, uniform designs into the metal with clean, consistent lines and a modern, polished look.
